INTERNET SAFETY

Don’t forget to stay safe online!  Safety Tips for Kids

> Do not give out information about yourself such as last name, phone number, where you live, or even where you go to school- unless you ask your parents first.
> Do not email or post a picture of yourself unless a parent approves first. Remember that what gets posted on the Internet may be there forever.
> Got that creepy feeling or are you uncomfortable about what someone asks, says, or does on the web…? That is a time to talk to a parent or teacher and let them check on the web site or page before you do anything else.
> Never agree to meet with anyone you have met on the Internet. Sometimes bad people pretend to be someone else. They may try to win your confidence by giving you free things or even money. This is another time to talk with Mom, Dad, or a teacher.
> Do not open email, files, or click on links from people you don’t know.
> Keep family and personal passwords safe by never sharing with others outside of your family.
>Make sure you know the family rules for Internet use and have fun while staying safe online.

Parents Please…
Always preview any site before using content with children...
