Bluffton:          757-9805

"United States of America" will appear in the country code box, and there will be a check in "Use area code and dialing rules". Do not click the Advanced button - Windows 2000 has already optimized these settings for your Internet connection.
Click Next.

The next window reads Step 2 of 3: Internet account logon information. Here you will enter your ISLC user name and password.

Make sure you use lower case letters, and that what you enter matches the user name and password you chose when you signed up for your ISLC account. Consult your ISLC Customer Service Agreement if you are in doubt. Click Next.

The next window reads Step 3 of 3: Configuring your computer. You can choose to rename your connection. Delete the name in the connection name box - this will read connection to xxx-xxxx (depending on which ISLC phone number you are dialing). Type ISLC after deleting the other connection name. Click Next.

The next screen prompts you to set up your Internet Mail Account. Select Yes and click Next.

Select "Create a new internet mail account". Click Next.

Type a display name.  This can be anything you want - this identifies who you are to the mail recipient. Click Next.

The next window reads E-mail Server Names. The incoming mail server type should read - "My incoming mail server is a POP3 server."

Type the server names in the two windows below. Both the Incoming and Outgoing Server names must be mail.islc.net  Be sure to use lower case letters. Click Next.

The next window reads Internet Mail Logon. Enter your ISLC user name (login name) and your ISLC password in lower case letters. Click Next.

You can also click to remove the check from the box, and click Finish.

You have successfully set up your Windows 2000 Internet Connection, and are now ready to connect by double-clicking on Internet Explorer on the Windows 2000 Desktop.
