Accelerated Reader Program
The Accelerated Reader program combines the use of great children's literature with the use of computer software to test comprehension. AR is a fun way to encourage students to read. Working with the Accelerated Reader Program is as easy as 1-2-31. Select a book - students choose their own Accelerated Reader book. 2. Read the book - students read the book at their own pace. 3. Take the test - students take a test consisting of 5-10 multiple choice questions on the computer. How does the Accelerated Reader motivate students to read?(Coosa Elementary Accelerated Reader Incentive Program)1. It's FUN! 2. It's computerized. 3. It's individualized. 4. Students are awarded points for performance. 5. Students are inspired to increase the difficulty level of their reading to acquire more points. 6. It builds self-esteem. 7. It's self paced. 8.
