Tim Miller Receives Award 2004 Security Directors of South Carolina
Holiday Dinner,

Sheriff P.J. Tanner and the Security Directors of
South Carolina awarded Timothy Miller, of Fripp Island, Security
Officer of the Year for the organization in December 2004. Also shown,
former Chief Chester Kowalski, Fripp Island Security.
Officer Miller has worked for Fripp Island Security
since January of 2003. His training and expertise set him apart from
the other nominations.
He has previously worked at the Beaufort County
Detention Center from 2002 to 2003, worked for three years in the
Multi-County Juvenile Detention Center in Ohio and worked for a
Sheriff's Office in Montgomery County, Tennessee. Miller also served
in the U.S. Army for two years.
Officer Miller assists in training new officers at
Fripp Island. Miller has attended several law-enforcement related
courses, which prepares him to be ready for various incidents. His
training includes courses on pro-active crisis management, leadership,
pepper spray use, hazardous material training, radar and dealing with
crime and the elderly.
Miller was presented the award at the Westin
during the Holiday Dinner of the Security Directors of South Carolina.
