From May 15 to October 15, DHEC monitors water quality at 5 locations along the Fripp beach, two times a month - see http://www.scdhec.gov/water/html/beachmon.html
If water samples have unacceptable levels of the bacteria Enterococci, DHEC issues a beach advisory and posts notices on the beach. Current water quality information is posted at http://www.earth911.org/WaterQuality/default.asp?beach_id=878&cluster=9
Critter problems must be handled humanely. To this end,
the FIPOA has purchased two "Have A Heart" animal traps.
If feral cats or raccoons are upsetting the balance of our natural ecosystem in your area, we will lend you a trap. Call 838-4155 for information.
