The YMCA offers a wide variety of aerobic classes with many benefits, including muscular and cardiovascular training. We have morning and evening classes to ensure that you will be able to find a class to suit your schedule.
All land aerobics classes take place in the gymnasium on our flex-air suspended hard wood floor!
BAT
- Buns, Abs, and Thighs!
A 30 minute abdominal and lower body workout. Buns, abs, thighs, calves,
etc.
Combo
a 60 minute step class that uses a combination of at least two different
formats (e.g. 1/2 step, 1/2 sculpt).
Double Step
a 60 minute step class using two step benches.
Sculpt
Toning focusing on a variety of muscle groups. 45 minutes.
Step
a 60 minute step class that is high in intensity.
Interval (Cardio)
intervals (approximately 4 min.) of regular pace cardio activity interspersed
with intervals (approximately 2 min) of higher intensity cardio activity.
60 minute class.
Interval (Strength)
intervals (approximately 4 min) of regular pace cardio activity interspersed
with intervals (approximately 2 min) of strength training. 60 minute class.
New
Classes
Spinning
High intensity class on Schwinn bikes that includes both cardio and strength
training. 60 minute class.
Line Dancing
Learn the dance steps to country songs. Bring a friend and enjoy. 60 minute
class.
Physioball
No impact class which works on strengthening the core (spine muscles, abs,
etc.). 45-60 minute class.
Other
Classes
YOGA
a 60 minute class which focuses on breathing, stretching, and relaxation
techniques.
Tips
You may want to bring a water bottle.
Wear comfortable clothing and tennis shoes.
Be ready to have fun and meet new friends.
Wellness
Center
The YMCA Wellness Center has a wide variety of equipment from manufactures
like Quantum, Preference, Landice, and Reebok. Our facility is comprised
of three sections geared to improving the total spirit, mind, and body.
The first section is the free weight section, which includes many dumbbells
of all weights and both incline and decline benches that can be used. The
second section would be the Quantum single and combination centers. These
machines cover virtually very workout area desired. These machines enable
you to move and complete your regimen in a short period of time. The final
section is our cardiovascular section which has both upright and recumbent
bikes, treadmills, stair steppers, and an elliptical trainer. Supervising
staff is on duty throughout the day to help and answer any question you
might have about the machines, Personal trainers are available for an additional
cost. See the front desk personnel for information. Our hours of operation
are Monday-Friday 5:30am-9:00pm, Saturday 8:00am-5:00pm, and Sunday 1:00pm-5:00pm.
Equipment Orientation
Are you uncomfortable using the machines? Do you have questions about programming
the treadmills? Sign up at the Front desk for a time that the Wellness
attendant will show you how to use the equipment.
Personal
Training
Are you sure that you are getting the most out of your workout? Are you
overwhelmed when you walk into your fitness center and don't know where
to begin? Sign up for personal training and find your answers. One session
or weekly sessions - $30 each visit. Or, buy a package of 4 sessions for
$100 (the package must be used within 8 weeks).

Testing
Did you know that fitness testing is a benefit of your membership? This
one hour test will let you know your blood pressure, resting heart rate,
body fat, cardio respiratory endurance and muscular strength and endurance.
This is a great way to see how effective your workouts are - and it's FREE!!
